Biography

Hey, I’m John, an Ottawa based photographer. Specializing in portraiture, business photos  and headshots, as well as street photography. I have been taking photos since the age of 4; when I was given my first film camera for Christmas. That first camera sparked a love for the craft and I haven’t slowed down since.

 

I have greatly improved over the years, and I continue to develop new techniques and educate myself in the world of photography— whether it be capturing important moments for individuals and their families or entrepreneurs and businesses. I pride myself in being extremely adaptable and tailoring each photo session to the needs of the client. I do of course have my own style, but it is rare to see photos of mine looking exactly the same. This not only sets me apart from other photographers, but will also provide you with photos that are your own and different from others you may see. 

 

Other than “commercial” work, I love to take street and landscape photography which can be found on this website as well. Capturing moments and events taking place or scenes of nature or the concrete world. I like to combine these photos with my background in writing (You can find this under my blog section). Although I like my photos to speak for themselves, sometimes I feel some of my own explanations furthers the viewers' understanding and perception of what I was thinking when I clicked my shutter. I aim to one day travel the world, taking photos of people, culture, and architecture while also writing about them to share with others.
